Class 7 Assignments

Above is Pasteinto.png. It uses the paste into a selection feature of GIMP which enables you to select a given area to paste another image into without the new image exceeding the boundaries selected. As you can see above a moon was pasted into selected areas and only appears in the given area.

Above are two images Scale2.png and Scale1.png (respectively). The first image was resized without using the scale feature thus the image is not scaled correctly and looks squished. The second image uses the scale feature for resizing and looks appropriately proportioned.

Above is the stroke.png file. It enables you to utilize one of the three selection tools (rectangle, circle, and freeform), and then makes use of the stroke feature to highlight the outline of the selection with either a solid color or a pattern as seen above.

Above is text.png. It depicts 5 different text boxes, fonts, sizes, and colors, along with transparencies to display the different text options at various levels of transparency for visability.

Above is the Transparency.png file. It uses a number of images that are pasted into a selection and the layer it is pasted into is set to various levels of transparencies. You can see the various planets in the backgrounds are made using this tool and have various transparency levels for visibility.
